क्या तुम्हे एहसास है की मैंने अपने आँचल में सिर्फ तुम्हारे ख्वाब संजोये थे
सपनो की दुनिया में बस इसी तरह सोई थी मैं
बस एक ही तमन्ना थी इस दिल में
की तुम्हारे सारे ख्वाब पूरे कर देती

खबर तक न लगी मुझे कब तुम अकेला कर गए
हज़ार वादे कर के तुम क्यों ऐसे दगा दे गए
ज़िन्दगी इतनी खाली तो कभी नहीं जान पड़ती थी
सावन में सारे फूल पतझड़ से मुरझा गए

अब जब कुछ बाकी नहीं बचा है तुम्हे देने को
तो तुम क्यों मुझसे मेरी यादें मांग रहे हो
ज़िन्दगी जीने का आखिरी बहाना मांग रहे हो

मैं कल भी नहीं समझती थी,
और आज भी जानने में नाकाम हूँ,
क्यों अपनी आँखों के हर ख्वाब को,
दुनिया की अदालत में मंज़ूर कराना पड़ता है,
"लोग क्या कहेंगे" के फेर ने कितनी ही जिंदगियां बदल दी.

तूफानी बारिशो में तस्वीरो के रंग धुल जाते हैं,
कागज़ के चंद टुकड़े हाथो में रह जाते हैं,
रूठे हुए नैना तकते हैं मेघो को,
पर ऐसे तुफानो के बाद ही तो इन्द्रधनुष निकल आते हैं.

Akeli hi chalna chahti hu zindagi ki raah me

Tujhe kuch is kadar apne sath chahti hu ab

Ki teri har mushkil aasan karti jau

Aur apne har gam ko khud hi jiti jau...
